Farm-raised in freshwater lakes and reservoirs fed by mountain rainwater, our fish has a consistently mild and slightly sweet flavor. It is the perfect meal beginning to showcase your sauces and seasonings, and can be used in recipes calling for snapper, sole, cod, haddock, pompano, flounder, sea bass, or orange roughy. Our trim-cut tilapia can be grilled, baked, sautéed, broiled or poached.
Since Regal Springs has complete control of its entire tilapia aquaculture process from freshwaters to packaged product, every step of the production process is traceable and therefore we can guarantee that no chemicals, antibiotics, nor additives are ever used. "Traceability" (the ability to track every step of feed, growth and processing) is essential for quality control in the food industry. It takes extra effort, but we think it is indispensable.
We carry the HACCP food safety certification and adhere to strict quality standards. We are also proud to be the first aquafarm in the world to earn the International Standards for Responsible Tilapia Aquaculture (ISRTA), a rigorous standard that ranks fish farms on seven environmental and social impacts principles.
