Meet some of the ‘Blue Food Champions’

Alois Hofbauer, CEO (left), grew up in the trout-rich mountains of the Austrian Alps. After a successful global career in food & beverages, and agricultural businesses, he moved into fisheries in 2019, which was like a homecoming. Fabricio Lopez, who joined us over 15 years ago, has held various senior roles with the Company. He is our Managing Director Honduras.

Dr. Emily McGregor Phd, [alias ‘Doc’], our Sustainability Manager, a highly experienced seafood expert, alongside Laurent Develle, of Regulatory & Corporate Affairs, work tirelessly with our local teams to embed sustainability in the company DNA.

Katia Garduño, our HR Manager Mexico, with her young team, supports a diverse 1,000 strong workforce in Chiapas. Katia, already a keen cook, has been inspired by her colleagues, who have shared with her many exciting tilapia recipes, based around Chiapas’ rich local cuisine

Friska Setiawani Saragih, managing water quality in tropical monsoon-fed Lake Toba, is an expert in aquatic ecology. Because she fully understands the critical role of pure, oxygen-rich water in nurturing premium tilapia, she seldom strays far from Toba’s beautiful shores.

Key to Regal Springs® ‘Doing well by doing good’ are the 5,000 dedicated people, whose efforts and commitment ensure that our sustainably farmed tilapia consistently meet the highest quality expectations.
