Regal Springs’ CSR excellence honoured at FUNDAHRSE awards

Regal Springs’ unwavering commitment to sustainability wins further praise

Regal Springs, a world leader in sustainable aquaculture and locally known as Aquafinca St. Peter Fish, has been recognized with the award of the Honduran Foundation for Corporate Social Responsibility (FUNDAHRSE) in the recent XVII edition of this prestigious event.

The FUNDAHRSE Award for Socially Responsible Enterprise (ESR) recognizes Regal Springs as a company that has demonstrated its performance and commitment to the social and environmental environment in which it operates for the 13th time.

In this edition, Regal Springs and 80 leading companies received this recognition for their excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility.

Their dedication is transmitted through every wave of the lake, making a difference that goes beyond the waters,” Matuty added.

Organizations that obtain it go through an evaluation process with the IndicaRSE tool, which allows a thorough analysis of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practices in their seven subjects based on ISO 26000: Governance, Human Rights, Labor Practices, Environment, Fair Operating Practices, Consumer Affairs, Participation and Community Development. To subsequently participate in a process that includes: pre-audit, external audit complemented with monitoring, verification and continuous improvement.

Regal Springs, for more than 25 years, has been an integral part of the local community, contributing to local taxation and directly supporting numerous local suppliers, as well as fostering the livelihood and social well-being of more than 1,200 people.

This achievement consolidates Regal Springs as a leader in integrating sustainable practices into its daily operations, demonstrating its commitment to social development, sustainable aquaculture and environmental protection.
